Great fin
"These are great fins. Tried them out on my Starboard Allstar and it definitely makes a difference over the standard fin. Its more stable, especially at low speed and tracks better."

Super stable fin
"If you need to tune your board to be more stable for any reason this are the fins to try, I bought the roto model and now my board is more stable without sacrificing speed dispite they have a lot of area in the design. Customer service is exelent , I bought on sunday and have my fin on thrusday and it was an international order ."

The fin is beautiful and
"The fin is beautiful and fit perfectly in my 2020 Starboard All Star. It now tracks much straighter than the stock fin making it easier to paddle in crosswind conditions on flatwater."

Roto fin review
"I tried this on a pintail downwind board a few years ago and it did not work well on that use case as it did not seem as stable as the Kawa or Tere so I did not touch it for a while. This summer I was at the cottage and it was warm water so I decided I may as well give it another try. This time on an Infinity Whiplash dugout 14*25. The fin was great and was incredibly stable. The tracking was not as good as the Kawa but way better than just about any other fin I have and I can still do 1k on one side with a little foot steering. The pivot turning is fantasic as well and the speed is about the same as the Kawa and faster than many other fins I have tried. I also put this on my 14*23 inch wide unstable race board and was very impressed with the stability of this fin. Rolling from side to side is muted a little which gives some time for my slow reactions to kick in. I was doing sprints and pivot turns in an area with boat wakes coming from all over and did not fall in once. The fin seems to make the water feel flatter than it actually is and allowed me to put my power down better than usual in these choppy conditions."

SEA PADDLE true test!
"So far so great. Will be using it for SEA Paddle NYC on Saturday. Feels faster and just as stable as the stock fin on my Focus Bluefin board."

Solid FIN
"Tested on 2016 Starboard Allstar 14x27 Noticed immediate difference from stock fin: straighter and better control. I gained 0.5km/h on average on flat water. Installation was a breeze: I could screw it in without any special tool. The screw was too short but I had an extra and informed Makani about it. The fin itself looks gorgeous. Only negative point was a loss of control on pivot turn, but honestly easily fixable with more practice on my side. Globally very happy with that fin and recommended."

ROTO: Flat & Exposed Water Race
"On balance, disappointed with this fin. For starters, it didn't fit in my fin box- not even close - I had to saw a chunk off to get it to fit. Then the screw is in an extremely awkward spot to tighten - you need a 90 degree screwdriver to get at the screw, which is a bummer. As for performance, hard to say, but it seemed overly large to me & I perceived it as "slow" - probably an unfair, unscientific evaluation, but on balance this fin was sub-standard."
