ABOUT ME…
Windsurfing was an odd sport for me to take up, Coming from a land locked little town in the Australian outback with the nearest ocean being some 4 hours drive away it wasn’t a sport I ever thought I’d be doing when I was that little kid dreaming about what I’d be doing later in life. After deciding to make a change in 2006 I relocated to our Australian Capital City of Canberra, This was my introduction to windsurfing for the first time…And from that first experience I was hook on this sport that would become such a huge part of my life. After a few year I decided I was going to move to Gerroa, This is our number one spot on the east coast of Australia for DTL wave sailing and I have not looked back since. I’ve not done much in the way of competition as it truly does not give me the buzz that it gives most people, I consider myself more of a "soul rider"…One who does this for nothing more then the pure and simple freedom this sport delivers every time you head out on the water, That’s how I get my buzz. The last year has seen me take up windsurfing photography, I love to capture the moment of others enjoying this great sport just as much as I enjoy being out there getting amongst it with them…I’m hoping to develop this love of photography into something that will take me further in this awesome sport. I’m yet to travel outside of Australia for windsurfing but It’s something I will now start to do, Not that I’ve exhausted all opportunities at home but I now think it’s time to expand my horizons and see what the windsurfing world has to offer.
